Yes we know, the Finns where first, and that they take every occasion to enjoy a steam bath , also at high altitudes. In fact, Finnish Yllä is as far as we know only ski resort with a real sauna gondola.

This winter though, you can have a taste of a sauna gondola also in La Thuile. One of the cabins going up from the village to Les Suches has been  completely covered with wood and equipped to all points to take the form of a sauna. The idea is to provide users, skiers and not, the unique experience of a sauna, while admiring the landscape surrounding the ski resort of La Thuile, with Mount Blanc and the Rutor glacier.

The Sauna Gondola is created in collaboration with QC Terme, and the real sweaty thing is in fact to be found in the QC Termal Bath, in Pre-Saint-Didier just down the road from La Thuile.

The panoramic sauna, accommodates up to 17 people and will be open to the public from the 15th February.
