In Summer 2017 it will be possible to get married at the highest refuge in Europe, Capanna Margherita at 4.554 meters

The Municipal of Alagna has recently approved a resolution which makes it possible to carry out civil weddings at Capanna Margherita in Monterosa.

Given the altitude and the following unstable weather conditions, the mayor of Alagna, Roberto Veggi has left nothing to chance, as he in the resolution includes the alternative to get married, on the lawn of a shepard’s hut at 1.575 meters. Still in the mountains, but far more accessible, also by foot.

The happy couples will be brought up to the Gnifetti Peak and the highest building in Europe by helicopter unless they are experienced mountaineers.
