Skiing in the Moonlight

Skiing in the Moonlight

Author: Linnea  /  Categories: Zermatt, Cervinia, Gressoney, News  /
Dinner on the mountain with moonlit descent at the foot of Matterhorn and thrilling night skiing in Monterosa.

Cervinia

For two magical nights, February 3 and successively March 3, you are invited to dinner upon the mountains, in one of the restaurants along the ski circuit, followed by an unforgettable descend under a suggestive full moon.

After a gourmet dinner (we’re in Italy, remember) you can choose to go down Cervinia’s famous piste Ventina followed by piste number 6, via Plan Maison all the way down to Cervinia, or down Valtournenche’s rolling Gran Pista.

You will be accompanied by a ski instructor skiing down to any of the two villages.

The moonlit descents, and the dinner, must be pre-booked. Contact us and we’ll gladly to help you with that.

Gressoney

A not to be missed event for the most expert skiers: The legendary black slope Leonardo David, in Weissmatten Gressoney-Saint-Jean, will keep open for night skiing February 10th.

The lights and lifts on the terrific black will be turned on between 8 pm and 10:30 pm offering a special night ski pass for € 10.00.

Zermatt

Moonlight descents in Zermatt take place once a month until April, February 3, March 5 and April 3 to be precise, with trains up from the village at 7 pm. Fondue, live music and guided descent are parts of the swizz formula.

You can opt for the Rothorn alternative, with a serious 8 km top-to-bottom challenge with 1,500m of vertical drop or the shorter decent from Riffelalp followed by a train ride back to Zermatt village.
