Increasing attention is being paid to the importance of wines as an authentic expression of the peoples and lands in which they are produced.

“Cantine Aperte” is the main event which celebrates Italian wine, its people and local areas. It traditionally takes place on the last Sunday in May in the Cantine which are members of the Movimento Turismo del Vino.

It attracts both tourists and locals, who are curious about this event and provides an initial opportunity to meet and talk directly to wine producers. It is an extremely interesting experience from a cultural exchange point of view.
