It is extremely beautiful mountains and valleys we wander through and there are also a lot of cultural remains, with untouched villages from the Middle Ages. And all that together with the glaciers and the refuges up here, where alpinists meet from all over the world. The atmosphere up in the high mountains is of total awareness of life's wonder and I use to have a very special feeling when down comes and paints all the white peaks with its bright pink fingers... Other information

Day One
Arrival and transfer to Valtournenche, in the valley of Cervinia. The tour goes later to a little enchanting old village, Cheneil, where we stay for the night.

Day Two
Today we climb over a pass to the valley of Champoluc, down to another old village called Resy where we stay for this night. We have hiked 5-6 hours and it will feel good to take a rest and taste the food and the wines from the local production.

Day Three
This is a harder hiking starting with a short jeep tour. Our tour brings us later up to over 3000m height, where you can touch the glaciers with your hand if you stick it out of your sleeping bag. It is a steep climbing and even pretty exposed to one of the Rifugi where we are going to meet mountain people from all over the world. The stars shine with all their power up and it will be fine with warm food and drinks, even if simpler than in other places.

Day Four
Today we go down from the Rifugio and continue, partially with the help of the lift system, to the valleys of Gressoney and Alagna, where we finally are reaching the Rifugio Vigevano, one of the absolutely best at this height, with the Po valley and Milan shining in the night. When the weather is nice you can see down to the Appennins from here! Mountain animals strolls under the rifugio and the owners can tell you stories from kings and mountain explorers!

Day Five

In the morning we go down with the cable car to Alagna where we have a couple of hours to go round in the old town and then it is time for us to catch the transfer to the airport and fly home.
